Theatre Bike- Key Exchange
Date: 6/21/08
Time: 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm
Phone: 630-968-0074
|
In this new twist on the Morton Arboretum's ever-popular Theatre-Hikes, audiences and actors move from scene to scene on bicycles, following the paved routes of the Arboretum's East Side, which are closed to vehicle traffic.
Following the performance, refreshments including beer, wine, and hors d'ouevres will be served at the Picnic Area.
This summer's Theatre-Bike is "Key Exchange", the long-running off-Broadway success that explores the romantic pitfalls facing New York's young "swinging singles" as they deal with the dilemma of entangling commitment versus unencumbered freedom. This exceptionally bright and witty play is set on a bicycle path in Central Park, where three young cyclists come together each weekend. Their meetings are pleasantly casual and filled with crisp, funny dialogue, contrasting with the sobering realities of the lives to which they return at the end of every meeting.
This play contains mature themes and is suggested for an adult audience.

Cheney & Mills have performed as opening act for magician "The Amazing Blackstone," Paul Revere and the Raiders, Blood, Sweat & Tears, and Leon Redbone.
