A living history museum situated on 54 scenic acres with a lake, ponds and a meandering
stream. The grounds contain an arboretum with over 200 varieties of trees and many gardens, floral
displays and historic agricultural gardens. Many period craft demonstrations bring the Village
to life. There is blacksmithing, spinning, weaving, sewing & pottery, as well as a one-room schoolhouse,
an Aurora home from the 1840s and a farm cabin. In each area demonstrators depict activities and life of the bygone era.

The 110 acres of parkland serves as a focal point for outdoor sports and
special events in Lisle, including the annual "Eyes to the Skies" hot-air balloon
festival. Other features include: a new skate and BMX bike ramp park,
outdoor amphitheater, sled hills, baseball fields, basketball courts, football
fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, trails with nature walk, picnic shelters,
fishing ponds, band shell, ice skating, and playground. Look for the "C" key in the dining section for kid-friendly places or restaurants!
